We have a school council comprising of two representatives from classes in year 2 through to Year 6 children and a member of the school leadership team. These children meet throughout each term to discuss issues concerning student welfare and school improvement. The councillors then feed back to each class who comment and the school councillors brings these back and the cycle continues.
Issues requiring whole school input are discussed in 'buddy groups'.
These comprise a child from each class from Reception through to Year 6 and led by the Year 6 top buddy. The Year 6 children then feedback, in specific sessions, to provide future actions for the school.
This ensures that every child has a voice at Holwell.
