Holwell Primary School is very proud to have been awarded a 'Good Travel Plan' in 2025. Improving road safety is a key priority and we work closely with the local community to make Holwell Road and the surrounding streets safer for everyone.
We actively encourage our pupils and staff to walk, scoot, or cycle to school, as this:

Helps our pupils develop essential road safety skills, supporting their independence as they grow

Reduces local air pollution and traffic congestion
To support this, we provide multiple bike shelters for both children and staff. For those who travel by car, we kindly ask that you show consideration for our community. Please avoid blocking driveways or parking in a manner that could endanger others. Dangerous or inconsiderate parking will not be tolerated.

"Thank you so much for the signage placed outside the school to prevent the driveway blocking and deter all the extra traffic along Holwell Road. By doing this we have eased the traffic on this road and thus reduce potential risks for children walking to and from school and also reduce the pollution it can cause." - Holwell Road Resident
