Travelling to Holwell

Holwell primary school is very proud to have been awarded a 'Very Good Travel Plan' in 2023 and 2024.  

We actively encourage our pupils and staff to walk, scoot or cycle to school as this:

• keeps us fit and healthy
• helps our pupils develop road safety skills which will keep them safe as they travel further afield and more independently
• helps keep our local air clean, and our streets free from congestion

 We have multiple bike shelters for children and staff to use. 

We ask that if you travel by car that you respect our community by parking considerably. Blocking driveways and parking dangerously will not be tolerated. 

"Thank you so much for the signage placed outside the school to prevent the driveway blocking and deter all the extra traffic along Holwell Road. By doing this we have eased the traffic on this road and thus reduce potential risks for children walking to and from school and also reduce the pollution it can cause."  - Holwell Road resident
