COVID 19 Frequently Asked Questions

Living with Covid – Updated information

From Thursday 24 February, the Government removed the legal requirement to self-isolate following a positive test however, adults and children who test positive are continued to be advised to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for at least 5 full days.

My child has tested positive, can they attend school?

We are requesting that children stay off school for 5 calendar days from testing positive to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. Children can return to school, after 5 days, if they no longer have a fever. Following government guidance, "children and young people who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people. They can go back to school, college or childcare when they no longer have a high temperature and they are well enough to attend.". Please inform us as soon as possible of your child's result by emailing  admin@holwell.herts.sch.uk .

A member of the household has tested positive, can my child still come into school?

Yes, your child can still attend school if they have had contact with someone who is Covid positive.

My child has tested positive but is feeling well. Will home learning be sent home?

Yes, please email admin@holwell.herts.sch.uk and the Class Teacher will contact you.
